And so, I finished a whole series in about two days.
I don’t know yet how I feel about this last book. I did like the first part, because I can imagine that the frozen people would try to (re)gain their power. They were used to it on Earth and didn’t even consider an option where they wouldn’t automatically have it anywhere else. I liked the slow but steady flow of things that weten’t right, like how the Pteros were gen mods. I quickly understood that the onces killing them off, were also people. In short, I liked how the mysterious part of the story played out.
What I didn’t like, however, was how the ending played out. I don’t think every death was necessary. I don’t particularly liked Amy’s change, but I do understand how that would fit into the story. I don’t know, I was just pretty disappointed with the ending and the turn of events. But the one thing that’s really annoying me, is that Elder survived. I get that he is one of the main characters, but to let someone survive a nuclear blast, is a little bit unbelievable. It’s killed the ending and possible the whole book.
